Industrial Magnesium Oxide also known as Light Magnesium-Oxide, belongs to basal inorganic salt products. Its  molecular formula is MgO. MgO relative molecular weight is 40.30; it is odorless, flavourless, innoxious, and white powder. Its apparent specific volume is 5~9. It is insoluble in water and alcohol, and may be dissolved in acid or ammonium salt solution5~9

It may be mainly used to manufacture ceramics, vitreous enamel, flame retardant material etcused  as a filling material in the making of polishing agent, adhesive, and paint as accelerator and catalyzer in the making of rayon, and rubberneoprene , as antacid and aperients in medicalas decolorizer in food processingin producing special cement  and heat protecting board with magnesium for constructionas fertilizer and livestock' s feedstuff in agriculture , for it is the major element in the process of metabolic process both for vegetable and animala in industries of magnesium metal, water treatment, glass, dye, cable, uranium processing , silicon steel , electronic , insulating material etc.
